IN THIS LESSON

  1. Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection when operating.

  2. Turn on Dust Collection System.

  3. Verify correct blade thickness is installed based on the material you are cutting.

  4. Do not cut steel or other hard metals with this saw. Ask for assistance for changing the blade.

  5. Adjust angle of table as needed. Only make adjustments when power is off and machine is not moving. Never touch the blade when plugged in.

  6. Line up your cut and verify it’s secure and against the fence. Verify you can hold your piece without putting your hands in the blade zone. Use push sticks if needed.

  7. Only cut one piece at a time. Do not cut pieces smaller than 3×3”. Do not cut through wood knots, splits, or other defects.

  8. Do not cut circular objects on this saw if they do not have a flat surface on the table.

  9. Lower blade support to expose as little blade as possible based on the material you are cutting. Line us blade to be in the center of the wheel bearings before locking in blade height.

  10. Allow motor to reach full speed before cutting.

  11. Cut slowly and smoothly, keeping your hands and sleeves away from blade at all times.

  12. Wait for the saw to stop moving completely before removing material.
