SLAB ROLLER
Wedge clay well before rolling. If clay cracks or crumbles on the edges, it may be too dry or under wedged
Flatten lump of clay before rolling
Set desired thickness with board inserts
Place clay between canvas flaps - if it is a colored clay please use a secondary canvas flap
Spin roller slowly, it may take a few passes to fully flatten larger lumps of clay
Keep fingers out of the way of roller
Clean up any mess after use
Wedge clay into a shape that fits into the extruder
Don’t use clay that’s overly dry
Select one of the extruder dies
Place the wider face upwards in the extruder
Tighten bolts with wrench (don’t over tighten)
Load clay (we wrapped it in plastic. You don’t have to as long as you clean the extruder completely afterwards)
Pull down lever with consistent pressure
Use wire tool to cut off excess
Loosen bolts
Use damp sponge to clean off clay on ALL surfaces of extruder and extruder molds
Put clamp and bolts back on
