  • What is a Makerspace?
    A makerspace is a collaborative workspace where people with diverse interests, skills, and backgrounds can come together to create, innovate, and learn using tools, equipment, and resources provided by the space.

  • What does Breva Creative makerspace provide?
    We provide the tools, equipment, and space for your use to create everything! We also host community classes on a wide range of skills and skill levels. Apply here today!

  • What information do I need to provide to become a member?
    You will need a government issued ID, emergency contact information, zip code, a valid email address, and a phone number.

  • What are the age requirements to join the makerspace?
    Due to insurance requirements, you have to be at least 18 years or older to become a member in our makerspace.

  • How soon can I use the makerspace after purchasing a membership?
    Once you have taken the required safety classes and signed the liability waiver and member handbook, you will be free to use the space.

  • Do you provide or sell materials?
    No, we currently do not. There occasionally will be leftover materials from other people’s projects, but this is not something you should rely on. Bring your own materials. This includes 3D printer materials, wood, fasteners, laser cutting material, etc.

  • What steps have we taken to address safety in our space?
    Safety is our number one priority at Breva Creative. We have developed a robust safety plan, we have first aid stations available, we have an eye wash sink, our supervisors are trained in First Aid & CPR, we provide all necessary PPE and safety equipment, we have a reporting system for each of our tools, and much more.

  • How do I sign up for a class?
    It’s easy! Visit our Eventbrite webpage here to see our full list of classes. Sign up for the date and class you want. Classes are generally 3-4 hours long, some classes may have multiple sessions. We recommend showing up 15 minutes early to the class.

  • As a member, when can I access the makerspace?
    Breva Creative makerspace is only open during open hours, we are NOT a 24/7 makerspace, and we require that there be a makerspace supervisor present when working with machinery.

  • What is the membership cancelation policy?
    Memberships are billed on the first of each month, and members are free to cancel anytime after a 3 month lock-in period. Canceled memberships are not prorated, meaning a refund will not be given for mid-month cancellation. Memberships will be active until the last day of the month in which it was canceled.

  • What is the refund policy?
    Monthly memberships are nonrefundable. Annual memberships can be 50% refunded if requested within the first 3 months. After 3 months, annual memberships are nonrefundable. Classes may be refunded if the request is emailed to _____________ at least 48 hours in advance of the class time. If it is within 48 hours of the class start time, it is nonrefundable.

  • Can I bring a guest or a family member to help on a project?
    Yes, you may bring a family member or friend, but the member is the only person allowed to operate the machines or tools. Minimum age for children guests is 14 years old. Guests will have to sign a liability waiver.

  • What tools and equipment does Breva Creative have?
    We have a full woodshop, ceramic studio, digital fabrication lab, and printing studio along with lots of other equipment. To see a full list of our available equipment, click here

  • What computer software do Breva Creative members get access to?
    We have access to many different programs and the list is constantly changing, reach out to us for a full list.

  • What CAN’T I do in the makerspace?
    The limit is your imagination! However, we do not allow creation of real or fake weapons, items that infringe on others’ copywrites, or use of wood stains or finishes due to insurance specifications.

  • I am interested in instructing a class on a specific craft at Breva Creative. Who do I contact?
