THEME

LUMEN An exhibition exploring light as both medium and material. Artists present illuminated objects, functional works, and light-based installations that transform the gallery through atmosphere, shadow, and glow. From sculptural lamps to experimental illuminated forms, each piece examines the relationship between light, space, and human experience.

WHAT WE DON'T WANT

  • Anything flammable (candles, torches, lights that get too hot for the material used, etc.)

  • Poorly wired / hazardous pieces - Please use lamp kits or preassembled lights if you don't have electrical experience!

  • Obscene or graphic art

  • Solar powered (gallery is indoors)

DISPLAY OPTIONS

  • Ceiling Hanging - We have plenty of space for ceiling hung work. Ceiling is a black steel truss structure. We suggest taking a look at our space to verify your connection method will work with our ceiling.

  • Wall Hung - Limited wall hanging space, and all wall hanging art must be able to connect to an art rail clip system instead of nails or screws.

  • Pedestal - Limited pedestal options, but we have some that may work. Most are 12x12"

  • Floor - Some floor options available. We have some low floor display pedestals that may work. Verify dimensions with Breva Creative. 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS & OTHER INFORMATION

  • After application submission, send an email to brevacreative@gmail.com with the subject Gallery Application. Include your name and photos of selected artwork to be considered for display if already made.

  • All artists submitting their work must be at least 18 years of age at the time of submission.

  • Breva Creative may reject any artwork that does not fit within the gallery theme or does not meet our guidelines, including but not limited to artwork containing offensive or obscene material.

  • Gallery Commission Rate: Breva Creative shall receive a commission of 35% of the total selling price of each artwork sold. The remaining 65% shall be paid to the Artist.

  • Breva Creative shall be responsible for collecting and remitting all sales taxes arising from the sale of the artwork. The Artist shall be solely responsible for any and all other taxes that may arise in connection with the sale of their artwork. This includes, but is not limited to, income tax and any other taxes not directly related to the sales transaction processed by the Makerspace.
