CERAMICS
IN THIS LESSON
Only use Cone 6 (or midfire) clay and glazes. We do not fire low-fire or high fire.
Wipe glaze off the bottom of your pieces before firing. Glaze will stick to our kiln shelves and potentially damage other peoples’ work.
Please take your bags of clay, reclaim buckets, and personal tools home with you.
Exceptions may be made if there is a physical reason this is difficult. Discuss with us.
Don’t add water to our glazes! Ask if a glaze is too thick.
Please remember that clay and glaze dust is dangerous and sanding must be done wet.
Do not touch other peoples work without permission in the studio or the kiln room. If something needs to be moved and the person is not in the studio please speak with us.
