Woodworking Classes

Learn the fundamentals of woodworking in a friendly, hands-on environment at Breva Creative Makerspace. Whether you're picking up a tool for the first time or looking to expand your skills, our woodworking classes are designed to be approachable, affordable, and welcoming for beginners.

Classes are led by Brad Schaefer, who combines practical instruction with an emphasis on safety, craftsmanship, and confidence-building. By keeping class sizes small, every participant receives personalized guidance, plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and hands-on experience using professional woodworking tools.

Our workshops focus on creating functional projects while teaching the core skills that every woodworker needs. You'll learn techniques such as measuring and layout, safe tool operation, joinery, sanding, and finishing, all while building a project you can take home and enjoy. Every class includes the necessary materials, tools, and safety equipment, so no prior experience or personal tools are required.

At Breva Creative, we believe woodworking should be accessible to everyone. Our goal is to remove the intimidation that often comes with learning in a traditional woodshop by providing expert instruction, professional-grade equipment, and a supportive community where beginners can learn at their own pace.

Whether you're looking for a creative hobby, want to make something with your own hands, or are interested in exploring woodworking before investing in your own tools, our classes are a great place to start.
