Use & Safety Checklist:
Always wear safety glasses and heat resistant gloves when operating.
Use in a location that is free from all sawdust.
Keep hands away from tongs when using machine. Work material can also heat up significantly. Avoid grabbing material too close to electrodes.
Ensure the workpiece is securely positioned and clamped to prevent movement during welding.
Locate nearest fire extinguisher before operating.
Keep the spot welder and its components away from water to prevent electrical shock.
Disconnect the spot welder from the power source when not in use or when changing electrodes. This helps prevent accidental activation. Do not use with an extension cord.
Place the electrodes on the workpiece, ensuring good contact. Clean electrodes regularly to remove any debris.
Place work material on bottom electrode.
Activate the spot welder by pulling trigger while holding work piece with other hand.
Hold for a few seconds. It does not take much. Wait for a red glow on the material. Time will depend on thickness and type of material.
Allow the welded area to cool before handling the workpiece.
Unplug machine when done.
