Use & Safety Checklist:

  1. Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection when operating.

  2. Verify cabinet is placed on a stable, level surface.

  3. Choose the appropriate abrasive media for the material you are blasting and the desired finish. Common media types include aluminum oxide, glass beads, and garnet.

  4. Adjust the air pressure and media flow settings on the sandblasting gun to achieve the desired blasting effect. Start with lower pressure and gradually increase as needed.

  5. Clean and prepare the workpiece by removing any grease, oil, or contaminants before placing it inside the sandblasting cabinet.

  6. Hold the sandblasting gun at a consistent distance from the workpiece and move it evenly across the surface to achieve uniform blasting coverage. Avoid staying in one spot for too long to prevent over-blasting.

  7. Ensure good visibility inside the sandblasting cabinet by using proper lighting and keeping the viewing window clean and free of abrasive dust buildup.

  8. Once blasting is complete, carefully remove the workpiece from the cabinet and inspect it for the desired finish. Clean any remaining abrasive media from the surface using compressed air or a brush.

  9. Clean the sandblasting cabinet thoroughly after each use to remove abrasive media and dust buildup. Dispose of used media properly according to local regulations.
