Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection when operating.
Avoid loose clothing, jewelry, long hair, or anything that could get caught in the machine.
Turn on Dust Collection System.
Verify correct bit is installed based on the material you are cutting. Unplug router when changing bit. Do not cut steel or other hard metals with this router table. Verify bit is secured. Do not use without guard installed. Ask for assistance for changing the bits.
Only use bits that are sharp and correct for your task.
Only make adjustments when power is off and machine is not moving. Never touch the blade when plugged in.
Adjust bit height according to the desired depth of cut while machine is unplugged.
Line up your cut. Verify it’s secure and against the fence. Verify fence is secure. Verify you can hold your piece without putting your hands in the blade zone. Only cut one piece at a time. Do not cut pieces smaller than 8” long. Do not route through wood knots, splits, or other defects.
Test cuts are handy with routers. Use a large piece of scrap material to verify the router table is properly set up.
When ready, use safety pushers and feather boards. Allow motor to reach full speed before cutting.
Cut slowly and smoothly, keeping your hands and sleeves away from bit at all times, and do not overreach when cutting. Maintain proper balance. Do not push to fast.
Turn off router after each cut. Wait for router bit to come to a complete stop before removing the work piece. Clean up dust, debris, and scrap material. Place stuff back where you found it.
