Use & Safety Checklist:

1. Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection when operating.

2. Verify correct bit is installed and is installed correctly. Do not cut steel or other hard metals with this machine.

3. Verify bit is not worn down. If you have significant burning issues, the bits may need to be sharpened. 

4. Only make adjustments when power is off and machine is not moving.

5. Line up your cut and clamp down your material. Verify it’s secure and against the fence. Verify you can hold your piece without putting your hands in the mortising zone. Only cut one piece at a time. Do not cut pieces smaller than 6” long. Do not cut through wood knots, splits, or other defects.

6. When ready, turn on, grab handle firmly and lower bit to the material, and allow motor to reach full speed before cutting.

7. Cut slowly and smoothly, keeping your hands and sleeves away from blade at all times.

8. Wait for the machine to stop moving completely and remove hand from trigger before removing material.
