Specifications:
Wood Only
800-4000 RPM - Variable
Use & Safety Checklist:
Always wear a lathe protection helmet when operating.
Avoid loose clothing, jewelry, gloves, or anything that could get caught in the machine.
Always hold your turning tool below the ‘level line’ of the tool rest.
Best practice before you begin lathing is to turn on the lathe while standing away from your piece to make sure that the piece is seated correctly.
Always have 2 hands firmly grasping the turning tool, with the back of the tool pressed into your hip.
Don’t try to take off too much material at once.
Use slow speeds when starting out with gouges, then move to faster speeds for detailing, sanding, finishing, etc.
Wait for the lathe to stop moving completely and remove hand from trigger before removing material.
